Can IPRally employees see my image?

No. As with other parts of the IPRally product, your data is encrypted, and IPRally employees cannot see it in storage or transit.

What data does IPRally collect about my usage of the feature?

We collect statistics about the usage of the Image search to see how much it is used. We know you did an image search but do not know what you searched for. We also collect data about additional content: was it used?

Do you send my image to a third party?

Yes. The current version of Image search is implemented using the Gemini Flash 2.5 model from Google. When you create an image search, we send the image and the possible additional content to Google's servers.

We won’t send data to Google or any other third party without your permission. To use the Image Search, your company’s IPRally admin user must accept the terms of the feature. After the admin user accepts the terms, the Image search is available for you to use.

What data do you send to Google?

We send your image, the possible additional content, and some custom instructions that help Gemini create the description of the image.

Some data we do not send: any identifiable information about you or your company (beyond what ´ can be interpreted from the image and context), any of your tags, comments or other information you’ve entered in IPRally.

How do I know if I can trust Google with our data?

We believe your data is secure with Google. They adhere to the SOC 2 cybersecurity compliance framework. We encourage you to review their procedures at https://cloud.google.com/terms/service-terms

What does Google do with my data?

They feed your image and possible additional context to a large language model to generate a description of the image.

They do not use the data to train their models or claim any ownership of the data.

They may retain your image for a set period for legal purposes but do not use the images for anything beyond that.

Does Google use my images or additional context to train their AI?

No.

Can employees of IPRally or Google see my images or additional context?

No.

Why do IPRally's Generative AI Terms also mention OpenAI and Anthropic? I thought you used a model by Google?

We wanted to include OpenAI and Anthropic in the terms in case we base features on their services later.

You can review the procedures of OpenAI at https://trust.openai.com/ and Anthropic at https://trust.anthropic.com/.
