Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication provides additional security to your IPRally account by verifying your identity when unusual login activity is detected.

What is adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication?

Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication is a security measure that adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring a verification code that is sent to your email address in certain high-risk situations. This additional step helps protect your account from unauthorized access.

Verification Process

When additional verification is needed:

  1. You'll receive a verification code by email

  2. Enter the code on the verification screen in the login process

  3. Once verified, you'll gain access to your account

When is Secondary Email Verification Required?

IPRally automatically triggers additional verification in two specific scenarios:

1. New Device Login

You'll need to verify your identity if you sign in from a device you haven't used with IPRally in the last 30 days. This helps ensure that even if someone obtains your password, they can't access your account from an unauthorized device.

2. Suspicious Location Changes

For your security, IPRally monitors login locations. Additional verification will be required if you attempt to sign in from a location that suggests impossible travel compared to your previous login (for example, logging in from New York shortly after login from Tokyo).

Tips

  • Keep your email address up to date in your account settings

  • Allow enough time for the verification email to arrive (it should be nearly instant, but may take a few minutes in some cases)

  • Check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email in your inbox
